Posted by William B. Barney on Sunday, October 30, 2011 11:37 AM

Hello,

Some who knew that I was started working on the 1/144 scales of Titanic wreck and I was bought from Peter's Brass kits of hulls that show the rivets. It look so great and want to leave some a great details over the hulls on wreck.

I need take a break time from the Titanic wreck model for a while and I just thought about to do the "Big Piece" come out Peter's Brass kit! So I was started do it and... it not finish yet!

If you want to know more about what a big piece and the History of Raise the Big Piece: http://www.titanic-titanic.com/big_piece.shtml

1.Show my pre-draw of my idea for "Big Piece" that raise with 4 Balloons. ((diesel-filled flotation bags))

2.That come from Peter's brass kits show details of the rivets, portholes, windows and plates get together that I order from him that made from brass and used for Titanic 1/144 scales.  I was ordered  2 of those one for Titanic in 1912 and all other will go for my Titanic wreck. But that 1/144 brass kits was no long selling. :(

3.That Titanic plan come from Bob Read... see how a big piece fit there on starboard side and that where is it come from. On between the 3rd and 4th funnels that where a weak area.

4.I made a tiny Pan for lay on sea floor.

5.last picture show a 4 raise balloons and I still need to working on it, Because It look not go to stay up there!

Enjoy....  :)

Clever idea and well-done, William.

If this is the piece of Titannic that was included in the traveling display, then I think I saw it years ago at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, when it hosted a major Titannic exhibit.  It was impressive, along with all the artifacts and personal items brought up from the seabed.

when i saw the little saucepan i immediately thought of a skit i saw once. an old lady at border security saying: "i'd like to declare a little pot".

   THANKS!!!

CHECKMATEKING02: Yeah, Titanic's Big Piece traveling around the world with other many and many the artifacts. I show some of the few pictures of real Big Piece...... I saw it too and kind of eerie feel in the dark large room with little lights around here as where the Big Piece in middle of large room.  I think I saw something from big piece inside the porthole and see able a shape of black figure of head as just peek and I tired to see make clear that no cause to make shadow or something etc.. for  few minutes and dont show happen again.... that make me think is it a lost soul from Titanic?

OCTANEORANGE: Thanks!! But it not finish yet...Right now I go back to working on 1/144 Titanic wreck... Hopeful to done both by April 2012.  Yeah - "I'd like to declare a little pot"  Ha ha :D
