I built this some time ago, just from plasticard,draughting pins(lights) and a pair of wheels from a new Beetle kit.....

That's delightful. I particularly like the effect of the treadplate panels. Well done.

Thanks Greg. The body side  were thread plate plasticard. The centre section was paper thin plasticard formed over a shaped frame to give the smooth shape. The paint is chrome plasti-kote and clear gloss  from the same source.

My wife and I have been looking at those. It's the only trailer our Rav4 will towe. I don't think the bears or mountain lions can get us in one of these... He he he

Well thank you everyone. I'd seen various resin kits of the teardrop but they are in the USA. The shipping costs are about or more than the kits themselves. So I thought I'd try and make one and it worked!
