Yeah, I only order from them when they are the only game in town. I find the model RR guys seem to be more into scratch building than just about anyone with the possible exception of model ship folks. Model Expo and Bluejacket both have quite a few scratch supplies, but these folks seem to deal mostly with people making wooden ship models, so Walthers and other MR folks seem to be the ones to turn to to get plastic stuff. Now, most of the structure of my Hisso is wood, but using plastic for much of the detail parts. The intake manifold will be Plastruct tubing and fittings.

That's par for the course Don. Walters generally deals with model railroading and ,are generally slow over priced for parts we needed last week. If you want to get a project done start writing the part numbers down as you get them then You'll have an edge :-)

Actually, not. The search engines require the company's own stock number, which is different from site to site for the same product.

I know folks criticize the Squadron search engine a lot, but it is exemplary compared to many other vendors.
I needed some plastic pipe/tube elbows for my Hispano project. I thought that either Plastruct or Evergreen made them. Found out Evergreen doesn't quickly enough, but the Plastruct site was a miserable site to deal with.
Basically you need to know stock number to get any info on their offerings. Tried a keyword search on elbows and got a bunch of junk, nothing of any help. Then, I remembered that Walthers carried a lot of Plastruct, so went to their site. Same thing, only even worse. You HAVE to know part number. Finally figured out the Plastruct and Walthers part number coding, and between the two sites figured out the Walthers part number. Since Plastruct has a large minimum order, ended up ordering from Walthers, but boy it was a struggle!
