1/32nd Scale Ju EF128

Here are some pics of my scratchbuilt EF128 in 1/32nd scale.  As with the He 1078a (my previous post) the same techniques were used.  The fuselage was first carved from a block of balsa wood and an RTV rubber mold was made from that.  Resin was then poured into the RTV rubber mold to make the final fuselage.  The cockpit, wheel wells, cannon bay and engine compartment were carved out of the resin fuselage using a Dremel moto-tool.  If you try this technique be sure to wear dust mask or some kind of protection.  The wings were made the same way as the fuselage but bass wood was used for the masters instead of balsa.  The rudders were made from sheet plastic.  The engine came from the 1/32nd Hasegawa Me262 with a lot of detail added.  The cockpit detail (including the seat) was all scratchbuilt as were the landing gear, missles and canopy.  The wheels, cannon and markings came from spare parts.
