Here are the latest WIP photos of my 1:8 Hispano-Suiza H-8 aircraft engine. This is the engine used in the SE-5 and the Spad VII. It is completely scratch built.
I still need to do spark plugs and ignition wiring, the prop shaft and hub, and mount the propeller, and the exhaust stacks.

Don,
That looks fantastic! It always amazes me how well some modelers can scratch build such great details! Great job!

WOW , your a very talented man don. I love seeing talented people's skill . way beyond my ability .
RaualdukeDon,you never cease to amaze.was any of that done with your 3d printer? Havnt heard from you about the thing lately. Mike
No, I haven't worked on the 3D printer in a long time. Construction is done but I have to install software and initialize everything. Just haven't gotten around to it.
Nothing on the Hisso is high tech- no PE or anything. Only out-of-ordinary work was turning the magneto couplings on a lathe. Most of the model is wood- crankcase, cylinders. Smaller assemblies are multi-media (styrene, some brass and aluminum).
Yesterday I got exhaust stacks done ready for painting. Made 4 spark plugs- only 12 more to go (engine has complete dual ignition- must have been one of first).
Hisso is finished- I posted finished pics in the aircraft forum.

Somehow, when I post the link becomes just text. Don't know what is wrong- maybe just going to the aircraft forum and looking for the Hisso thread is the easiest way to see it.
