Santa was very, very good to me!

I also started a Christmas weekend project.

I have been working on the bollards for the Arizona, trying to get the deck going on my Nina and working on the frames for the Blandford.

Not to mention the two group builds I'm starting, a 1/72 A1 Skyraider and a 1/72 M24 Chaffee!

Taking a break from ARIZONA, makes sense. I'm doing the same thing, scratch-building a 1:12 scale 50' PCF (Swift Boat). Well, it looks great so far.

"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"

GM thanks for the comments. You were correct, the widest point on the frames measures 7 inches AND Elmer's yellow woodglue interior.

BTW Great job so far, on the Crusader.

First of all, great photos.

Very well, awesome.

What are you using for glue?

Working on the keel and Frame 1 of 9.

The two halves will be glued together to make Frame 1

Cutting wood for the frames, setting up the patterns and making the frame halves.  This design calls for double frames.

This will be nice. I looked up the beam- 28"-4".

That equals a model beam of 7".

I though I would post my build of the HMS Blandford. I dicided to use popular for the frames and keel and mahogany for the false keel.
