Computer Mouseident--Tragic-Not for me!
Posted by Tanker-Builder on Monday, March 16, 2020 1:46 PM

I just thought::

      Here's to laugh ! 12;35 today, my little Auto Computer Mouse went on a trip over a cliff ( It got knocked on the floor.) In the Kitchen. Tile Floor! Mouse 0, Floor 100 Points. Mouse a mess! My little Porsche looking Mousecar looked totally destroyed!

      Remember, I am not super literate about computer stuff, especially fixing the hardware! But!, that said I am a scratch-builder, Mostly, right? Went into full research mode! Studied the parts, How they fit, and started with the C/A to give my Mouse Car a full Body repair! I just couldn't see throwing that absolutely smile inducing Mouse, Porsche looking thingy anyway.

     It now operates as normal and even the Cherry Candy metallic paint has been touched up. Final Score Mousecar 100, Floor 0 . Laugh if you will, But I have become dependent on the little guy. The thought of "no more" Mousecar just didn't compute!

Yeah, they've been used by sci-fi scratchbuilders, too.  The usual computer mouse casing has a great shape that lends itself to so many things.  And the guts are full of little greeblies, like little black boxes that make great, well, little black boxes.

I've got a shoebox full of used meeses for just such use.  I've got a box full of various computer and other digital equipment parts, for the same thing.

Generations ago, it was the guts from radios and other audio equipment.  Transistors and other pieces off circuit boards, etc.  In fact, I have a stash of that stuff, too.  Lots of wire, solid and braided, in various gauges.

The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.

Hi Baron!

 The funniest thing is, it works better now than it did before!

Good to hear a happy ending here!!!

Maybe the Porsche mouse slid off the table because it's  too fast- have you tried a Pinto mouse? Snail Propeller

I dunno!

What if it had contained some of those lithium batteries in it?
