Milliput forms its own bond with whatever you press it onto or into. During its nice, long working time, you can shape and sculpt it however you like and it is water soluble during that time. It can easily be smoothed down and cleaned up with damp q-tips. I use it mostly for partially filling seams that are meant to be panel lines. Easy to work with once you get the hang of it and once it cures it is well-bonded to what you put it on. I have yet to see it crack or flake off. I've even used it to restore the edges of model parts I have dug into too deeply with my knife while removing flash, and once its primed and painted, you can't see where the repair was made...looks like a continuous, undamaged piece of plastic.
