For years I have wanted to build a model of a tower crane but haven't been able to find a kit to do so. So I decided to design and build my own. She stands 48" tall & a proud 63" long. I have about 900hrs. into building it so far (after many redesigns). The trolley was the trickiest piece to make. Took me 4 redesigns to get it. The whole thing is made of between 3 and 32 plies of poster board. Yup the whole thing is made of paper. The counterweights and filled with lead and sand. It works too. So far about 20 sheets of poster board and 3 bottles of white glue
