Yea baby!

I got 3 of the Bandai mini star destroyers and the Bandai SSD. Absurd how small they are. But by my rough calcs they should roughly look in scale with a 40" SSD. Yeah I got the SSD model for just that purpose, already started with some 3D modeling to work out the shapes and what not.

Yes...YES.

You...want this, don't you?  I can feel it.  Use your scratchbuilding power.  Strike now.  Do it and your journey to the Dark Side will be complete.

You cannot avoid your destiny.

Oh yeah, and Bandai also makes a small SSD that you can use for reference.

LOL that's just crazy! I'm in an apartment, and basically converted my bedroom into a mancave/office, and trying to do a 6' model in here would definitely not be practical :)

40" is I think the max size I could realistically pull off

I believe the "Executer Class" would look more overwhelming at Six Feet!

I found this for a possible blueprint to use

Anyone know of anything better to use?

I've not felt this in a long time... a feeling from long ago...

The Super Star Destroyer!

Oh my, madness has surely seized me. I saw an Amazon add for a Bondai Star Destoyer about 6" long and got to wondering how hard would it be to scratch build a Super Star Destroyer of comparable scale from styrene?

The shape is relatively straightforward. Looking around for measurements would put the SSD at about 50" or so, which is still relatively huge. I guess I could cheat and still make it work at a little over 3 feet?

I let the madness get it's foot in the door and just ordered 3 of the mini SD's and Bandai's SSD kit just to get a sense of shapes. Sigh...
