where the heck is the deckplate.

Most of the major photo etch companies such as Eduard, Aber, etc., make floor plate in various patterns. Eduard makes 3 different types of German floor plate. Great Models lists them as; 1/35 EDU35142 German Floor Plate, type 1, 2 or 3. There are US styles too.

Evergreen has it too, but I don't know the exact scale or "type"

 Hey , von hammer , that,s a good idea .! I,ve got to admit , in all my years of building ,that one never crossed my mind . One way I,ve done it in the past is to glue stretched sprue to the plastic sheet , and then sand it to the surface I need .     tankerbuilder  

 I got to thinking (uh-oh ) , The gundam robo fighters are a good source as I said , but ,here,s something .When you get one good source of deck plate (a very large gundam piece ), use broiling foil and create all your own . The broiling foil is heavier and you can work with it easier . There ,that wasn,t to bad was it??   tankerbuilder  P.S. Make sure when you burnish it to your sample nothing can move!!
