Just thought I'd share a few of the shots I've taken of my 787 as the build continues.  I'm doing this for the Airliner GB and am almost completed with her.  I should have the engines mounted up and the legs on her in the next few days.  I hope to get the rest of the decals on tonight.  Any comments or suggestions welcomed!  Thanks for looking!

A couple more pics.  The only other additions I have to this is that it is now sitting on its legs.  I'm thinking about creating a diorama base for it.  No definite plans yet, too many other projects in the works right now.

SEE! This is what I was talking about in the other thread! Beautiful!

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

That's lovely, mate.  Very clean and tidy.  Those long stripes down the sides can be a real bear.

The only thing I see....the leading lip of the engine intakes are actually stainless steel that looks very much like it's been sanded with an orbital sander - it's VERY dull....not shiny at all.  I've worked on the 787 line in Everett for more than 4 years and touched those intakes a thousand times.

Nice model, mate.  Keep up the good work!

Cheers, LeeTree

Thanks for the information about the engine intake stainless steel.  I can possibly use some kind of weathering technique to "soften" the shine of the metal look.

And you are absolutely correct, that gold stripe was not the most pleasant task!

Thanks for looking and the comments!

Thanks for all the comments.  It was a fun build, my first commercial aircraft, parts were challenging; but I am for sure going to do some other airliners.

Thanks Tank!  As with any kit, there are areas that I could have probably done better on; however, this being my first civil airliner, I am pretty happy with it.

That's where self confidence comes in , my friend . If you keep building them like that you can only get really good .

Really great work - nice. I love the Dreamliner - I see them every morning overhead in Wokingham (UK) on their inbound finals - those wings just look awesome on a steep turn
