I'm working on a model of a civilian R4D for a gentleman who owned and operated one for years. I'm using a 1/48 Revell (Monogram) C-47 to make the conversion and most of the mods are fairly simple and straight forward (removal of astrodome, shorter intakes, modified exhaust pipes etc).
Some of the R4D family (R4D5???) had a weather radar installed in the nose which resulted in a slightly longer and more pointed nose cone being installed. Would any of you care to guess which nose this particular R4D has? So my question is this, is there an aftermarket version of this nosecone available for the Monogram/Revell 1/48 C-47 and where one might find it?
