Junkers Tri-motors

I'm building a pair of Junkers transports for a GB and thought I'd share them.

The Ju-52 "D-ALYL" 1/72 Revell. She's about ready for silver paint and a trick set of markings.

The G-24 "K-SALC" 1/72 Revell ex- Plasticart. A little more work here, and an unusual configuration. She'll be in Aero O.Y. colors.

This one just came out. I really like it, as a nice 20's airliner. It has an open cockpit, and Finnish Airline markings. The wing looks weird because it has those strange streaks that older silver plastic kits had, but silver paint will fix that.

Oh, and it's a seaplane. It is also well engineered and actually has been a much easier build than the Ju-52. Recommended!

Interesting builds and they look like they are coming along nicely. Any update pictures?

I too have a Junkers 52 (DA-QUI) in 1/72 scale. What would you suggest is the best way to sand/fix seams at the wing roots and especially where the top of the fuselage mates to the rest of the fuselage so no to damage the corrugation? Probably no easy answer or tip......just a lot of patience and fine sanding?

Appreciate you insight and thanks for sharing your work, they look great!

The Deutsche Museum in Munich has one of these JU-52s on display and you can walk through it. What I was most impressed with was the fact that the passenger windows go up and down!
