!/48 Hobbycraft DHC-3 Otter

This is my first pontoon plane. The kit was pretty much terrible. Never did get the floats lined up perfectly, they're pretty straight and parellel, but kinda cocked to one side, but not too noticable. Anyway, I opted to leave out the kit markings and give her my own scheme and N# from the spares box.

Fermis, fairly unusual to see you hanging out in the civil aircraft aisle. Any how, nice looking build! It would be a neat central piece for some kind of diorama. You gonna make a water-like base for it?

Great build of an interesting aircraft.

I am not really interested very much in civilian stuff, although there are a few like this & the Grumman amphibians that are interesting.

Thanks guysToast

When I got the kit, I had big intentions, fully detailed, sitting on the water, tied up to a dock, along with a beached 172 on floats as well at a hunting lodge somewhere in Canada. But, laziness took over.....this ones just gonna hang from the ceiling.

Oh man, that's too bad, I would have loved to see that! However, I completely understand the pitfall of laziness especially regarding modeling. Still, very nice Otter!
