Piper PA-11 1/48.

Thought I'd share some pics of my Piper PA-11 1/48. A combination of both the Lindberg, and Hobbycraft kits. Wings, stablizer, and engine cowl are from the Lindberg kit, the fuselage is from the Hobbycraft kit. Hope you like it! Dave.

She looks really cool. you know you can post all the photos in one post right? Do you have any WIP shots of her? might be interesting to see how she went together.

Real NICE work. I have thought about combining the minicraft L-21 Super-Cub with the hobbycraft engine to backdate to an L-4. I've built the Heller L-4, but not to pleased with it.

Looks great!  Inspires me to get back to work on my Hobbycraft J-3. I had screwed up the masking of the window interior.  Bought a new kit to have a new fuselage to work with, but once up on my "work hold" shelves the stuff tends to stay there :-(     I need to write a work order to bring the J-3 down after I finish the Boeing B-40.

Looks real nice, the PA-11 in my book is the nicest flying of the Cubs,  The rudder you have is correct for a J-3, by the way, the PA-11 and PA-18 had the same more curved rudder.  It is possible that the rudder would have been that type because the attaching parts are identical, but they were not built that way.
