Korean Air A330 Revell 1/144
Posted by Chris_in_Japan on Saturday, December 4, 2010 4:44 AM

This is the Revell A340 kit that will be stratched into an A330...

I am currently working on the engines...

This kit was originally going to be a Virgin Atlantic A340, and then it became a Jetstar A330, and then a RAAF A330 tanker...

Well, you can imagine the coats of paint that went on this kit, and after a while, it was nearly ready for the trash can...

So after a lot of work, and I mean a lot of putty and sanding. I have gotten the kit back to where I want it, as my daughter and I will be flying Korean Air on an A330 this Xmas. And so this is what she will now be!

Here is a before, and after shot of where I am at this point in time...

That is a lot of sanding and restoration work!

Nice you are modeling a aircraft she will be traveling in, I just hope she is not a jet set type that will have you scrambling to keep up modeling the different airlines she uses!

Interesting they eat bread in Japan, learn something new everyday! Dare I guess the translation:

'Super spongy baked western ground wheat loaf cut into slices!'
