Maybe they will make a 1/144 MD-11...
Guess you'd better visit N836D when it returns to AirVenture again this summer!

Hi Aaron -
Yes, I hope 2011 will be a good year for airliners. I received a Fly Model DC-9 about a month ago. So this leads me to a question for you: Will you do a side-by-side review of the Fly model with the AZ model you did in the January 2011 FSM? If so, I'll be looking forward to it.
Seeing the Fly model makes me want to just leave my 2 Airfix DC-9's alone.

Hi Aaron:
If only someone would offer a Lockheed Electra L-188 in a larger scale such as 1/100, I'd be a happy camper ...

An L-188 in 1:72 or 1:48!!! That would be really cool!!!
HawkeyeHobbies An L-188 in 1:72 or 1:48!!! That would be really cool!!!
I have the 1/144 version from Minicraft and used to have a resin kit for it with new nacelles and props (which I've lost, of course) ...
But it's just not a good looking representation of the real McCoy ... after about 1,500 hours in one and knowing what they look like, I can't quite bring myself to try to build this and fix the problems ...
And, trying to convert the 1/72 P3 Orion to an L-188 is just out of the question ...
Hope someone has some suggestions ...
Thanks,
Welsh models would probably be the best candidate for that

I've got one in 1/144 ... never have seen anything bigger for an Electra ... there is a 1/72 P-3 Orion out but it would be way too much work to convert it to an L-188 ...
A DC-6 other than the old Heller one would be great.
