Heller made a 1/72 707 many years ago. Aircraft in Miniature (AIM) makes a load of 1/72 airliners altho they are vacs. They have a site but Hannant's also sells them. Someone makes 1/72 vac kits of late 737s, 727 and I think MD-80 series and some Convairs. Cooper Models sells them.
new guy here : i just bought a large 727 , 3 foot by 3 foot that was made into a wind mill type of thing... trying to restore, could use help on manufacturer and decals.
CallSignOWL (the airframes is the base for the 707). IN 1/72 these planes are incredible difficult to get.

the C-135 (original 717) and C-137 (707) are considerably different. The fuselage cross section is different, and the 707 is longer.
There are quite a few of the old AMT and Italeri 135s floating around, but they are expensive. If you want a 707 look for an Airfix AWACs.
Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
1/48?!?! Where would even you put that? I have both K/RC-135s, in 1/72.....massive birds even in that scale!! (the airframes is the base for the 707). IN 1/72 these planes are incredible difficult to get. Expect to by upwards of $70 on ebay, if you can even win one.
that mat its laying on is 18 inches long, btw.

Now that I'm here, where am I??
Thanks, I inherited most of this from my father. This is only 1/4 of the stash, the rest of it is in a storage garage.
That's a Entex 1/100 scale 747....I'm thinking it might go in Braniff colors.
67 327/400 I've got a couple 1/72 scale 727's ...which aren't for sale :D and a massive scale 747

Do we just email to place an order? J/K, nice stash. You have about 99.9% more airline kits than my LHS. What is the scale of your 747, can't read the blur. is it 1/72 as well or just 1/144? The box is as big as the B-52 box above it.
RoG should make us a 1/48 A380, I've been looking for a reason to enlarge my daughters old bedroom.

HawkeyeHobbies In 1:48 you might find some very old, tween the wars era stuff but very little if anything exists except for the DC-3. You could spend a lifetime replicating all of the airlines that flew and are still flying them!

Revell issued their Junkers Ju 52 in civil marking a few years ago.

Ye Gods, man, where would you put them? You must have an entire warehouse at your disposal?

El Taino brought up a valid point. In 1/48th, those kits would be monstrous in both size & cost. Last December, I bought the Anigrand 1/72 C-5 kit. Its really big ( 3 ft long, 3 ft wingspan), & really expensive ($400).
KMC made a mixed media 72nd 727-200 kit about 10-12 years ago, just before they went out of business, & back then the price was over $150.
I just photographed this kit (don't have any info on it) yesterday:
Believe me, that suckers plenty big.
Check EBAY. I just saw a 1/72 scale 727-200 on there the other day. I don't know of any other large scale airliners in production.
Have a look on Ebay I picked up a Monogram (no longer in production sadly) B737 in 1/72 for about $45, Brathens SAFE decals for this kit were if memory serves about $12 plus postage from Two-Six decals. Not built yet but someday soon.
If anyone know of any others I would love to hear!
Cheers
Dave
If you find one, I'd like to know too. I don't build airliners but a big scale will surely tempt me. My LHS has a huge Air Force One behind a glass for sale. I believe it is die-cast. I'm afraid of asking how much it is. They have to display it with just one wing, otherwise it wouldn't fit in the showcase. I'm guesstimating around 48'' inches wingspan.
I am looking to build large scale Model Airliners. I mean 1/48 scale or larger. Does anyone know if there are any kits out there available and who makes them?
