Roden Carvair ATL-98

For those of us who like the odd civil subjects, Roden just announced a Carvair ATL-98 in 1/144 scale. They are also showing a DC-6 and a C-124 in the same scale. This year just gets better and better for airliner fans!

Cheers, Aaron

Who/what is Carvair. Is that a plane mfg or an airline?

Don,

The Carvair was designed by Freddie Laker to turn DC-4/C-54s into a car ferry.

It's an odd looking beast and there were only 21 built, but it's cool to see an injection-molded kit of it.

I noticed that the link I post originally doesn't go straight to the page needed. When you land on the Roden news page, click on the "In Processing" link on the left. The upcoming 1/144 scale kits should be right there.

Cheers, Aaron

For the movie buffs out there one of these made a brief appearance in Goldfinger.

Excuse me.. Is that an Uzi?
