revell a320 'lufthansa'
Posted by jamenator on Friday, November 4, 2011 2:28 AM

Hey guys, here is my revell airbus a320 in lufthansa colours i started a few months ago. its almost complete now with 99% of the decals on but still need to finish the engines and put them on and construct the landing gear, after that it will get a coat of tamiya clear spray (ts-13, basicly gloss coat) to seal it

here are some pictures and as usuall all advice and what you think of it so far (good or bad) is 100% welcome.

thanks....    James

Thanks, well the blue i don't have to worry about because I used  decals for the tail and the grey is tmiya spray AS-2, light grey, which i know is probably not correct but it was the closest i could get at the hobby store. the kit is 99.5% done but prodution has slowed because i have year 10 exams next week so can't really give a etimate on when i will post some finnished pics, sorry.

thanks....    James.

Beautiful! I've never built an airliner, but seeing that makes me want to try one.

thanks guys, this was my first airliner and it was great fun. much different i found than say a millitary bird though but it adds some colour to my otherwise dull shelf. i recommend trying an airliner kit.

thanks....   James

Nice work.  The entire vertical tail is covered by decals?  You did an excellent job with the decals covering it.

Funny how I just passed through Frankfurt 2 weeks ago & had some time to planespot from the terminal.

thanks, the decals on the tail were tricky, i used about 6 or 7 coats of "Mr. Mark Softer" on each side plus a few coats of tamiya TS-79 clear coat from the can, because tamiya clear sprays are very 'hot' and they will melt/seal the decals onto the model once and for all.
