My follow-up to my Revell Beluga. Straight out of the box. Took a lot of weight to get off of the tail and still had to cram a nickel through the windscreen hole with some hot glue to hold it. Decals melted into the engraved seam lines with Micro-Sol, I love that stuff. I finished at 2am so tossed together a quick backdrop for some pics.

Love it!! I've seen both of those in real life and they are pretty awesome to see. I wonder if anyone makes them in 1/72...?
Nice job. I saw those down in Santa Barbara where they built them. Monstrous things.

Awesome job on that Guppy! I miss seeing it fly over when I lived just a few short miles from Ellington Airport where it's based.

And it's amazing how fast that thing was. Watching it shoot touch-and-gos was really something to behold.

In the early days of FSM there was an article on a scratchbuilt 1/72 Guppy. Using a War Eagle Vac kit as a basis (before the Academy injection molded kit). Can't remember the year, 82, 83, 84...something like that.
;;;
Nice build up! I've got one in progress. I was amazed at the size difference between the guppy, and the plane it started out as, when I placed the two side by side.
I'm going to finish mine...as soon as I find the engine I've misplaced!
