O/T Career milestone
Posted by 7474 on Saturday, January 28, 2012 12:09 PM

last night after nearly 7 weeks of new hire training, my good friend (and sim partner) became the newest Beech 1900D pilots after we passed our checkrides. So if you see us out of Ft. Lauderdale, going to Key West or the Bahamas, feel free to say hi. After 30 hours of flight time we'll be going to the land of ice and snow to fly the "Mighty Beech" around.

He's not really lucky, he's actually paying to work for Gulfstream Airlines.

If you make accusations, make sure your accusations are correct. FYI, the Pay To Fly was abolished before I was hired here and have not paid one cent for this job. Take your criticisms and move on, save them for the pilot forums.

Congrats!  My wife and I have flown with that airline several times from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West.  Really enjoy those flights.  We prefer Ft. Lauderdale to Miami.  Miami is the only airport we've EVER flown into packing a weapon so we can make a safe drive out of the airport.

Good work on the checkride.

If you career starts like mine did, your learning is just barely beginning,.  Fly safe and enjoy the ride.
