Norseman

Don't know if I posted this already but since there was some interest in my Cessna diorama, I think I will post another float plane dio.

This is the Matchbox 1/72 Noorduyn Norseman kit in a diorama based on a photo that was given to me by my parents. I am still working on snow techniques. I still need to make N number decals and put them on the wings.

Some artistic license was applied to this photo taken at Aleknagik, Alaska Dec,1956. Changing from floats to skis.

That is VERY cool!  I love it!

Brilliant Dio  heepey. I've built one of these in 1/48 two or three years ago, but never been brave enough to attempt a dio! Very well done.

Thanks guys. I took significant artistic license with the dio. I have the correct wing numbers on now. I also have the 1/48 version started but it is far from completion. The 1/48 engine cowl is the wrong shape for this aircraft and most other Norsemen as well. I am reshaping it to get the right shape.
