1/200 ANSETT 747-300

Well, here it is - the last model I'll complete before the big move to Everett.   I'm going to take a job on the 787 line in the 40-24 building.
The model went together pretty well - although WHY do they have holes for the windows down the fuselage?  It's painted with automotive acrylic, and has BMF nacells, with Alclad leading edges.  The decals are Hawkeye - a little hard to work with, but if you put them over white, they look ok

Enjoy

Cheers, LeeTree

Very nice. Just can't get used to Ansett on 747s. Biggest thing they had when I was living there was 767.

Neat, Ansett is something we don't see anymore.

Gotta say it was pretty sad driving past the engineering base and seeing all their aircraft mothballed - they slowly disappeared, one by one....maybe to other operators....maybe to AMARC...no idea.  The end of an era, that's for sure.
