E-4 to 747-200
Posted by 7474 on Monday, October 8, 2012 10:04 AM

I was in the local hobby shop yesterday, and saw the Revell 1/144 E-4. Has anyone converted this to a -200? My dad is a First Officer on a 747-200 and I'd like to build him a model of it.

My understanding is that the kit is a 747-200.  To make it into an E-4B you add the extra parts.  So just leave off those parts and you should be good to go.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the 747s have 3 different engine types.  There are Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and General Electric engines.  This kit has the GE engines.  What outfit does your father fly for?
