Alaska Airlines B737-200
Posted by BradShinn on Monday, February 18, 2013 7:08 PM

Hi,

Here is a 1/72 BPK Boeing 737-200 that I built for a guy. She has Nazca decals and scratch made flaps/slats/reversers.

Thanks,

Cool. I can remember when they started flying these into the Alaska bush village where I grew up - on a gravel strip !

I also am struggling with pictures on this forum :(

The take-off was more spectacular. You could see the dust cloud for miles.

As a 21 year employee of Alaska Airlines I can tell you he is modeled after a ramper from Alaska in the 50's-60's. I think he was from Nome. I've never heard his name. I can say the airline has tried to switch to some thing else on the tail but there is always an uproar.

Rumor has it that we will switch livery in the future and he will be gone. It will be a sad day if that happens.
