Looking forward to it!

Finished the plane yesterday. It is rainy out today, so no good pictures. Hope to take some tomorrow.

Any more update photos Don? I'd really like to see a clearer shot of the interior, (sorry I'm so picky). You may have mentioned it before, but what type of camera are you using?
Thanks Don for those little tid bits. I may jot them down and put the notes in my Hobbycraft J-3 box. That way whenever I get around to building it I will already have a good idea of what to do. Bob
gregbale Lovely progress on your Cub so far, Don. Looks like you got the engine difficulties sorted.

Yeah, ended up just using the kit engine. I will make new cooling baffle, though- the one in the kit is not correct. Also, the openings in the cowl were not large enough. I spent a lot of time enlarging these openings without hurting the paint. I was tired of airbrushing yellow paint. Stock openings would not clear the intake manifold on the bottom of the engine.
I did end up gluing the cowl halves together, filling and painting, and cutting the piece in the right spot to give a top and bottom/front pieces.
Looks like a Cub to me!

Lookin' good so far. Bob
Nice work Don! Thanks for the update!
I think we'll need to set up some "air monitoring" during your next build while you're sanding! While we're at it, we could do a "total dust" also!
Nice job Don! Looks great so far!

Hobbycraft J-3 (1:48) now coming along well. Here are some work-in-progress photos.
Sorry the interior shot is so fuzzy- I took it with the camera on my media player, which is not a great closeup camera. I'll shoot a shot with my decent camera when model is done.
