Nice looking bird!!  I'm sure that your experience in building autos helped in getting a great glossy finish.  I also built my first airliner this year, the Zvezda 787.  I had a lot of fun with it, and I'm sure I'll do another airliners soon.

That's great! I just saw one of these birds in Phoenix. They have repainted it in grey but it's still glossy. I was tickled pink because I have the 1/72 scale Transport Wings kit and now I want to reproduce the one I saw.

Just found the answer to my question - The USAF called it the "Nightingale", and the Navy & USMC called it the "Skytrain II". Learn something new every day...........

Nice build! We had one of those at Cherry Point back in the late "80s - early '90s. For some reason, I remember the C-9 being called a "Nightingale" and not "Skytrain II". Bad memory on my part?

Never a dull moment at this end of the modeling forum. I know of a kid who flies the 737 in the Navy and became a pilot for southwest after  he did his time. 'Smart kid'

Very nice!  I just started a NASA DC-9-30 myself.  Same kit with Ronin decals.

Hey Guys!

Ran across these decals and I had to build it. In over fifty years of modeling (mostly cars), this is my first airliner. It was so much fun I already have another one started.
