It seems that they do that all the time; FedEx also transported the horse that the Denver Broncos used for their introduction in the Super Bowl.

Don't let Fred Smith see that build - he'll have you arrested for stealing one of his planes! Great-looking build!

The wings (and tails) are Testors Model Master Acrylic Light Gull Grey with Dark Gull Grey for the centers.  I also used Bare Metal Foil Matte Aluminum foil for the leading edges.  It's the first time I used Bare Metal foil for anything other than masking and I'm sorry I waited - it worked perfectly.  The purple on the tail is Tamiya X-16 Gloss Purple.

Oops - I had meant to include that it was the 1/144 Minicraft 777 kit.

Thanks for asking.

777 FedEx Panda

It all started innocently enough.  Several of us at the Hobby Shop decided to build airliners, just to do something different and I started out to build something in the stash...but things rarely work out as planned.  I wanted to build a FedEx plane, since I see a pair of 757s parked at the terminal every morning on my way to work.  While searching for suitable decals at Airline Hobby Supply, I came across a set of FedEx 777 decals featuring arwork of a panda on th nose.  Of course I had to purchase a kit to go along with the decals.  The kit was built out-of box and posed no problems other than being too big to handle easily. The Nazca decals performed well, the only drawback is that they are printed on continuous carrier film and every image has to be cut out individually, but this is not really a big deal, it just takes some extra time.  I enjoyed building this kit, and I have already started thinking about a new airliner project.
