Thanks for the comments. It's kind of on hold for now as my work space is the garage and it's just too cold to build right now. This will be a nice spring finish on this build along with a few others.

looking superb and thank you for sharing - I can remember these ladies at Gatwick back in the good old days of Civil Aviation. I think BA got their hands on them when BCAL folded as I can vaguely remember my Dad having to do a short training course on the PW engines as he was flying the RR fleet for BA at the time but got moved over to Gatwick for a while to the 747 Beach Fleet.

You are rather brave taking on this kit as I have only managed to get a good 747 out of the Hasegawa Loveliner range so far - my 1/144 747 attempts always looked shoddy due to the poor seem lines I used to struggle with as a younger modeller back in the 70's and 80's and 90's.

Right side stripe is on with just some minor fixes to do. I wish I would have left a little texture on the windows  sure would have helped line them up.

Looking good so far.  That will make a pretty bird when you are done.

Started this Revell kit a few weeks ago. 1/144. I'm taking my time to I can hopefully have a good outcome. What I'm going for: Initial priming: Re-puttied all the bad seams and imperfections priming showed: After much sanding I put Tamiya Pure White on top with XtraColor dark blue that was suggested over on BritModeler:

I tried to airbrush the bottom half but the brush was giving me fits so I got my best brushes out and hand painted the light grey lower half. (Second pic) Once it was on and some future on top, it actually came out nice and smooth. On to decals then on to the wings.
