In a discussion in some forum (I don't think it was this one, but I forgot which) I promised to take a picture of the kit engine for my Twin Beech, and the aftermarket (Engines and Things) engine.
When I got the pictures loaded into my computer this morning, I was chagrined by the poor quality. I really blew the focus! I may try to take a better shot later, but here is the best of what I took. The ICM engine is on the left, the E&T is on the left. The poor detail on the kit engines is not reflective off quality of rest of kit. Maybe they just had an old pattern of a Wasp Jr and decided to use it as is.
The E&T engines do not include the pushrod tubes- these need to be added by user. The cylinder detail on the kit engine is just too crude. The engines are quite visible on the D-18, so it does really need the aftermarket engine to bring that area up to quality of detail on rest of kit.
