The doors are molded into the fuselage in the closed position. There are tiny small doors that close the remaining small opening.  I would have to cut away the main doors, and they are pretty small.  I have glued them in, closed up the fuselage, and will just be super careful removing the tape.

How about afixing the gear doors to the fuselage with some white glue for your paint work, then pull them to install the gear and permanently glue the doors in place?

Well, I cut that tab off and things seem to be working well with that mod.  Another problem with nose gear is that the gear doors are molded in the closed position except for those that remain open.  The Airbus is one of those planes that recloses most of the doors once the gear are down.  Since most of the gear doors are molded closed one must glue the very fragile nose gear in place before closing up the fuselage.  I dread masking (and even more the unmasking of that gear).  Also worried about that spindly gear standing up to the 20 grams of noseweight required :-(

Early stages of Revell 1:144 A320.  The wheel well has a transverse bulkhead from roof of well compartment down to aircraft skin. It looks like it would fit well except for a tab that protrudes down from lower edge.  It looks like the tab is supposed to fit a slot in fuselage, but there is no slot there.  Did Revell forget to put slot there?  I guess I can cut off the tab, it seems unusual for a company like that to goof this way on a kit.  Has anyone built the kit and do they wish to comment?
