I am building an A320 and an Embraer 170 on bench now. Both of them, like many new kits, have fragile centerline antennas molded as part of the fuselage halves. have been worried about knocking these off (already knocked off one on the belly of the 320).
I had to mask the tops of both recently- the bottom color is darker than white top. I was terrified to mask over those antennae. For the solution I cut some card stock to about an inch wide long enough to cover all the antennas. I folded it in half to make a tent, plus angled the ends to make it easier to fair tape down to rest of fuselage masking. I put the tent in place over the antenna areas with bits of tape, then proceeded with the masking. Seems to have worked.
