E-170 & A 320 pics

Finished these two airliners last week, but we've had some crappy weather, and since I shoot in sunlight I had to wait till a bright day.

Very cool!  I especially like the Northwest A320 in the 1980's livery.  If my memory is correct only a couple were delivered with that paint and I think they were repainted with the 1990s livery before they went into service or right after.

Yes, that is my understanding also.  In fact I had a hard time finding pics of that scheme.  The only shot I found from a Google image search was of a model.

Beautiful planes!  These are in 1/144 right?

Yes, 1:144.  This means they are a bit small for my airport photo backdrop, originally made to shoot 1:48 and 1:72.

I'd like to do a new backdrop for my 1:144 airliners, especially one in front of a terminal.  But shooting an airport terminal these days is kinda difficult, with the security in place.  I'm looking for good photos that someone else took but not finding much appropriate.

Very nice work! How did you like the kits? Was the Hasegawa E-170 easy to work with?

Regards,

Thanks!  That points out that Google Images is not infallible.  I searched for Northwest A320, and that pic was not in what Google returned!

You know what's interesting is that I searched for "Northwest Orient" A320 and it came up. Although it only says "Northwest" on the side.

Mr. Stauffer,  those are really nice builds.  I really enjoy looking at airliner models.

Great build Don! I am a dispatcher and I dispatched that exact E-170..n637rw for about 3 and a half years! They may be small but they are some of the work horses of the airline industry! Whats the little print say by the main cabin door...Operated by Shuttle America?
