I heard, maybe about six months ago, that someone- maybe Lindberg- was going to repop some of that line of pre-ww1 planes, sold under many brand names, like Life-Like. So far I have seen nothing further. Anyone else seen anything on this? The kits included planes like the Bleriot 11, Bristol Biplane, Avro Triplane, etc.

Are these what you are refering to?
Yep, guys, those are the ones. In spite of being shown as 2014 kits, I have not seen them in LHS, nor the mail order places I deal with.
Orded that Avro Bipe from Amazon. Boy, if I find several of those kits, I sure will be buying a lot of those Tom's Modelworks wire wheel sets!

Last time I was in the local shop they had a couple of those on the shelf. Seems like they were about $11 bucks.

I get the idea these kits do not sell well. Of course, the kits are very dated as far as kit technology and some of them require quite a bit of work to make them accurate. I am wondering if the poor sales is because of the crudeness of the kits, is is it the subject matter. Is there very little interest in aircraft that old? If someone did do a kit with modern molding technology, would more folks be interested?
Don
I found all of them except the Avro Tripe at HobbyTown in Lincoln NE in June of 2014. Then they were about $16 each but I have seen them recently for 12 or 13 something.
I believe they are old Pyro molds or Life-like molds. Somewhat crude but I think they build up nice.
