Airfix A300F4 (refurbished B4)
Posted by Aussie747 on Sunday, January 10, 2016 9:26 PM

I originally built this kit about 15 years ago and after the decals had bleached by the sun in my display cabinet I decided to refurbish it.

The kit was originally built Trans Australia Airline (TAA) markings

I  added a few parts to make it look more like an operational F4 including adding the tail plain rub plates, modifying the engines to reflect those on the aircraft, adding aircon inlets on the lower fuselage and A300-600 style wing tip fences.

Decals were from a Flying colours sheet for the A310. I used the default A310 registration as I had time constraints on the build.

Not unlike plane transitions in real life: passenger to cargo. Excellent work on the refurb!
