It is definately "Pretty". I see no issues with the decals. You did a great job!

Thanks so much!
I agree about 1/144 airliners---too many cool schemes to do in a lifetime. (I'm getting ready to start a Royal Air Maroc 727 as soon as some of my other current projects are done!)

Well Now :
That is pretty . But you know I always thought the DC-7-C was the cats meow .This bird is very well done . I Like your work ! T.B.
Thanks, Gents, for your comments.
I've always thought of the DC-6 as the quintessential '50s airliner---but I had the kit in my stash quite a while before I found a livery that got me really jazzed to finally build it. This one seemed to do the trick, with nice colors and the 'classic' look and style of the era.
Very nice! I have that kit in my stash, and your post has made me move the kit up in my queue, to build soon.

Had to open it on my phone to see the pics, looks awesome. I didn't see the problem area either, but I'm not familiar with that scheme. Nice colors though.

Hello Greg!
Like the title says - it's really pretty! I can't really see the problem you described in the pics! Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Here are a few shots of my recently-completed Minicraft 1/144 DC-6B "Mainliner," in the striking '50s livery of Pan American Grace Airways, a.k.a 'Panagra." Build is totally OOB (with the exception of fishing weights added to the nose to make it stand up straight).
The excellent decals were ordered online from 8A-Decs in Mexico. I had never had occasion to use their stuff before, but was pleased with both the quality of the decals themselves and the care taken in shipping.
A few minor errors resulted from my own inattention. I think the graphics may have originally been drawn up for the 1/72 Heller kit, and 'shrunk down' to fit airliner scale, and I failed to take that possibility into account before 'jumping in,' resulting in some minor 'drift' as to proper placement. No excuse, I should have known better.
Nevertheless, quite happy with it overall. It's a colorful scheme I haven't seen done very often. (Liked it so much, as a matter of fact, that I picked a set of the same for my Roden DC-3).
Hope you enjoy the pics.
