Just finished this 1975 Revell Goodyear Blimp I scored off of ebay. I did some modifications and updated the colors. Lights up with a mini LED scrolling light.

Man.. I love to see pictures. I had that kit back in my youth years.
I can see the photo if I click on the icon. Nice work, I'd love to see more angles of her.
I remember seeing this in K-Mart as a youngster but didn't buy one. Pretty neat idea and cool model, may have to pick one up if I see it at a show.
EDIT: Hmmmmmmmm, saw a broken link icon before, clicked on it and the photo came up. Now I can't see it...

Thanks! That's some nice work there. I assume the yellow is all decals?
Funny, the broken link icons come up on Chrome where I can click on them to go to the photos on PostImage but nothing comes up on Pale Moon at all....
Wizz, not sure what's going on here but did you use the 'insert/edit image' feature here on the FSM site? You need to copy the image from PostImage (on PhotoBucket it's under Direct Link, no idea what it's called on PostImage) and then click on the icon that looks like a mountain with a moon over it on the FSM page. You're get an 'edit image' box where you paste the link into the 'source' box. Then hit 'ok' and it should come up.
Looks great! I'll have to search for that kit. I have the Glencoe blimp in my stash, but not the Revell one.

Not sure what is going on but when I past the url it always just shows a tiny empty thumbnail icon so I just pasted some more links above.
Yes the yellow is all decals. I work at a sign shop so I cut the decals out of yellow vinyl.
Links don't work....
WOW! That looks great, fine job!!! I had one of these as a kid, and I still have fond memories of it! I do remember hooking the wire to the metal clip on the fin for the on/off switch driving me crazy!lol!
I remember this one, too. Never got to build it. You have an excellent finish there!

Seandavis333 Can you tell me where you obtained your led screen for the blimp? Sean

Definitely and eye catcher and a fine job too!
Very cool - my buddy built one back when we were 12 or so. We made some pretty funny signs
Thanks,
John

Here 'ya go.........
Cool I made one with the colored markers...very loud! https://youtu.be/rIcoxWE_1C0
What you need to do, is when postimage shows you the thumbnail, you need to click on that thumbnail. That will bring up a big image. Now right click on that to put the image location (URL) on your copy pad. Paste THAT url into the fsm forum image link window. If you just paste the link of the thumbnail you will indeed only put the thumbnail image there.
That blimp came out amazing, great job! Boy, does that ever brings back the memories. Boy, did we screw that up (my brother and I that is). Tube glue, no paint. Decals. What are decals?

Just messing around with the links.
It'd be nice if the forum had a preview feature.
I ermember when this kit came out. The hobbt shop owner built one and had it hanging in the front window for a while before hanging it behind the register.
I may have to try finding one at Modelpalooza this year.
