  Bear with me here ;

As a child postwar , I heard of many great ( supposedly ) Airlines . One of the greatest was Pan Am . Why ? Well , to me anyone who dared fly the great seaplane clippers in Trans Pacific flight should be the best .

 Did you know that two were detailed to fly President Rooselvelt to Casablanca in Morocco to meet with Churchill ? Why two ? Well  , one was for the President and staff and the other was equipped with the latest Electronics to allow the smooth running of the good Ole U.S.A while he was gone traveling .

 If any of you are familiar with these planes , they are Big ! I mean like , they look like they'd need more engines than what they have to get off the water. After all they are four decks high .No wing floats ! Sponsons on the huill yes , but again no wing floats !

 The wings were thick enough at main spar to allow a man to walk behind the engines ! I wonder if the flight engineers actually did that ? I have the minicraft 1/144 kit ( picked it and the C-54 Independence ) at a train show again .

 Count on it , Both will be built !    T.B.
