Revell Germany ERJ 195 to 190 project
Posted by B-1 CrewCheif on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 8:33 AM

Hello all, so idecided to do a really quick build of Revell Germanys ERJ 195. This is my first airliner kit and i figured it would be an easy one to do since its so small and simple. So to start things off I decided i would convert this over too a ERJ 190 so i could use the "Frontier Airlines" decals i have. To do this mod it only requires you to take out 2 windows to shorten the fuselage.

So right away i built the airplane and marked my cuts. I did and initial marking cut with my rotary tool and then actually cut it with a hobby saw. after the cut it was a bit uneven so i layed some sand paper down on the table and sanded the fuselage flush and smooth.

Right after i was able to glue the fuselage pieces together and I now have a ERJ 190.

My plan for this build it simple. After i fill and sand all the seams in the next post im going to paint the fuselage white, and the wings grey, and then do a light clear coat and aply the decals. Once the decals are on im going to clear the aircraft with a Urethane clear like whats used for car clear coats to give it a really good shine and also give it some protection.

Thats all for now. Thanks for reading

That conversion guide is not correct. I have modified it with data sourced from Embraer.

Essentially, 1 window forward of the wing and 2 windows aft!
