Oh Boy !

That's the same color as the one I learned to fly in !  The school where I took training made it a policy , you sail BEFORE you come near any powered plane .

Thanks for looking and commenting.  I have a few more glider kits in the stash.  You don't see many glider models and that's one reason I like to do them.

Very nice!  I would like to do a glider.  Tried a year ago or so, with that Revell 1:32 scale kit, but screwed up the cockpit.

Very nice, Kensar, well done.  I do R/C gliders too.

When I saw one of these models online I knew I would build one.  My favorite subjects at this time are civilian gliders and sailplanes, which comes from another hobby, radio controlled sailplanes.

This is a 1/48 scale LF-107 Lunak, built in the 1950's.  The kit is a ModelA small production run kit from the 1980's, since that time its been made by a couple other companies.  I found a Brengun PE plate for it which really enhances the basic kit, which includes the extended air brakes and cockpit detail.  The pitot tube on the nose is brass tubing and I turned the wheel from aluminum on my lathe.  The wooden nose skid is a strip of walnut.  I really enjoyed this build and look forward to finding more sailplane model kits.

Thanks for looking.
