Nicely done on your "big beautiful bird of prey" as Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden singer/757 747 Captain) calls it.

Excellent work!  I agree that the 757 is a cool plane!

Calling this one done - needs a coat of future but I need to let the decals dry.  Decals look great but a bit challenging around the nose and tail cone - had to do some creative painting.  Overall, the 757 airframe is cool and the TRUMP livery is pretty striking.

Thanks,

John

Very, very cool.  How about a tarmac diorama?  Be sure to add Ivanka and Melania.

Bit more progress - Got the gloss black on along with the starboard decals.  The draw decals are so nicely printed and very thin, but do require patience (as all 9" decals do).

Those long window runs are challenging. (Not sure why the camera/imgur is crazing the lines on the decals)

Thanks,

John

Neat build.  Following along.  I have a new appreciation for airliners with their brightly colored livery.  It's neat that you're doing a build like this.

Just keep picking away at it...

Winglets came in.  Little rough but I'll clean them up.  Cut off the wingtips and got them tacked on.  A bit of filler and sanding and this one will be ready to paint.

Thanks,

John

I have parked next to the airplane in LGA and a few other airports when I fly charter flights, often the coolest looking airplane on the field at the time. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Watching a few videos of the actual aircraft I realized this 757 has winglets and the Minicraft C-32 B kit I'm using doesn't have them. A quick search on the web lead me to Contrails Models - interesting site, lots of interesting airliner/transport stuff. Anyhow, winglets on order! http://contrailsmodels.com/Wings___Winglets.html

Thanks,

John

I wanted to continue my obscure airliner theme.  I've started the 757 TRUMP airliner.  The kit is actually a Minicraft USAF C-32 B which is a 757.  Decals come from Draw decals.  The kit is nice, minor fit issues so far.

I have some filling and sanding to do.  Should be a fun color scheme.

Thanks,

John
