Gee;
I thought everyone knew what a Pawnee was ! T.B.
There's always gotta be that one guy, TB.
John, I just caught that you used to call your 150 HP Pawnee "Puny". That's pretty funny.
In another thread guys are talking about dusters with PT-6's in them. A couple winters ago I was airport bumming at a local airport I'd never been to. They had 3 or 4 of those monsters torn down for off-season maintenence. I had no idea of the size or power of modern day dusters. I was overwhelmed by them.
jeaton01What, not familiar with a Pawnee?
I know!
Being a Piper fan, I'm more surprised than you at not being familiar with the Pawnee, John.
I remember the Pawnee. Still see one or two around.
I'd like to see your model, but the photos still not showing for me.

Well done! What, not familiar with a Pawnee? The first version had a 150 hp Lycoming, then they had Lycoming O-540's derated to 235 HP. We called the 150 HP one we had the Puny.

To see build logs for my models: http://goldeneramodel.com/mymodels/mymodels.html
Goldhammer, you just read my mind!!! I was just going to ask if this wasn't an ag plane, for real. I never made the connection about them being used for towing and spraying. Thx!
Steve, all your pics are showing up now. Like Goldhammer mentioned, I also thought you had a nice build based on just the one pic. Now being able to see them all, no doubt, you did a nice job.
Dunno if I'd be brave enough to try an all resin airplane kit. You da man.
The one pic that showed looks like a nice build.
Greg, most of the Pawnee's were rigged out as ag sprayers.
I didn't know Piper made that aircraft. Looks like you did a nice job with it.
You might notice that your Photobucket links are not working. Sorry to report that you will want to find a new photo host if you want to continue posting.
After a year, I'm finally finished with my Pawnee. It's a resin kit and the resin parts are made poorly. I had to scratch build most of it and/or borrow some parts from by parts bin. I'm not thrilled with the results, but satisfied as I now have a tow plane for some of my upcoming gliders! Anyway I hope you enjoy seeing something different, for a change. Thanks!
