Making white white again

I don't know what can be done to correct the problem now other than repainting. I know an old timey trick to keep Testors Glosscote and Flatcote from yellowing is to add a tiny drop of blue to the mix. Perhaps a drop of Tamiya clear blue in the Future might be the ticket as well.

A car in the sun can get quite hot inside, depending upon environmental conditions. Far hotter than most residences will get under the same conditions. 

One problem with putting it in the sun could be warping the kit.  I lost a C-130 build once like that.  I had to go to a briefing one day and left it in my truck.  WHen I got back a couple hours later it was split open and slightly warped.

I have a bottle of Future that I keep under a shelf that now looks a bit yellow, almost like varnish that has been sitting too long.  Maybe I'll crack open the bottle and put that in the sun for a while, it's woth a shot.

What's weird is the wings and engines are still a lot brighter than the fuselage. We're abouot to move, but after all my builds get to their new home I'll try sunlight. At the very worst I'll just have to paint it again. Then I can finally put the rest of the parts on her for display.

   No , really .  The plane is nice . Looking at it that way I think I am beginning to like the bird ! I had the same problem with Future in both types the New and the Original .That's why I won't use it at all anymore .

  I have a Fouga Magister Air Team plane ( Old Kit ) .So pretty I coated it in a very fine coat of Future . Now it is ,( Never being in the sun either ) a very light tan .

I can guarantee you that setting it out in the sun is not going to be the solution.

It may be the Future. I've talked to people who have had it go yellow on them over time... which is one big reason why I stopped using it.

Nope. Tamiya rattle can for the white and Future for the clearcoat. I’ll probaboy just leave it as it is.

Did you use any clear coats? Some of my older builds on which I used Testors rattle can gloss and dull coats took on a bit of an amber hue over the years. If you used that stuff on this build, you may be stuck with the off white.

That looks alright I need to get me one.

The real question here is if the decals will not bleach out too bad in the sun. No risk, no fun!
