One of the local Volunteer fire companies did that with their Christmas garden one year...only it was a sardine can instead of a cattle car.

First take one Airliner( Prop version 1/144) like the old Boing double tube airliner. Don't remember it's name. Now, cut out the center of the Passenger compartment.
Insert one 60' cattle car of " N" scale. Fasten securely and hang over layout . Viola! a Tongue in Cheek comment about being stuffed in an aluminum tube at 35,000' for six to eight hours.
