I like it!  Minicraft are hit and miss. Just finished their 1/144 737-300.  Pretty nice. I like your retro livery.

Thanks,

John

Thanks for the kind words, luckily I will be making a few 1/72 Airfix warbird kits next and the 89' batmobile so no airliners for foreseeable future. Although for a quick easy build an airliner is a good kit, if it goes together w no problem ;)

I agree that MC's older stuff left a lot to be desired.  The newer releases, especially the lightplane series, are pretty good.  Only thing that bothers me is that for trike gear planes you have choice of installing engines OR adding sufficient weight!  They should supply pot metal engine castings.

Hi Ya'll;

     As to airliners she's okay.You did an acceptable job with what you had to work with!

 Minicraft seems to be as has been said "All over the Map!" I think they market under their label many of what I would consider 2nd rate kits. Good subjects, but lousy quality!

I'm with John, great job and scheme, and props for powering through a build that fought you all the way!

Minicraft 'quality' -- to put it politely -- is indeed all over the map, and their detail is often either non-existent or dodgy...but some kits, like their old DC-6B, are actually a pleasure to build.

Thanks for posting!

Greg

Thanks Jeaton, I'm tempted to get another airliner going and would love to do an AA in an all alclad paint with a modern livery. Love those steel smooth finishes too. I'll try a Zvesda as I've heard they are excellent.

The 757 wasn't there best kit.  Nice scheme, though.
