757 kits are not around much these days. I hope Zvezda makes one.

Usually the color band with the windows has the clear decal film that covers the window so you dont have to place the clear parts in place usually and if the decal is for recommended kit helps in window registration.

I got this sheet for my revell 747-400 by V1 decals its a solid sheet , but the clear film covers the windows.

I want to do this scheme also. And the earlier 757

On most 1:144 airliners I find the windows small enough to use the window material from Testors or Microscale I just paint and decal, and put in the windows with that goop and a fine toothpick.

It absolutely dwarves that 737!

I use the door decals to line up the windows.  Check Draw Decals for doors and windos if you don't have a good set.  They are magnificent decals but are on continuous film so trim close - and they are super silky thin.  I always fill and use decals - I prefer airline kits that don't have the windows actually.

Thanks,

John

Bill, I'm not familiar with a cheat line stripe. Dumb question here but is that something molded on to the fuselage to help window decal alignment?

Masking will be compicated because of the cheat line stripe.

Keavdog is right. Fill them, smooth them out and use the decals. Easiest way to do that is to glue a strip of styrene behind the windows and putty them flush. Any time I have tried to glue in the pastic ones they are never smooth and flush, and there will be little gaps around them.

Crisis averted.  I think I found a mask set from a small company outside the US. I'll give it a try.

The problem is some of the decals in the kit are dependent on windows for proper placement. I guess my concern would be the window decals not lining up perfectly with the kit decals.

Question for you fine folks. The windows on this kit are clear plastic.  Does anyone make a paint mask for airline windows? How do you address airline windows when it comes to masking and painting?
