Revell 1/144 Airbus 380-800 'Wildlife'

I got this as a gift for the 2021 Secret Santa GB but clearly fell behind.  Better late than never.

Beautiful kit and great decals - thanks Secret Santa!  I ordered the stand from a diecast shop and did a little work to adapt the kit.

For size comparison here she is with the same scale 737

Thanks,

John

Nice work, John.  Be nice find one of those stands for the 737 too, it's to pretty to sit on its belly.

Yeah, airliners have to take off.  Seriously, I think an airliner looks better than a prop plane on a stand with dead sticks.  You really don't notice fans are not turning.

Beautiful build!  Love those markings down the side.  So regret selling off my stash of airliners years ago.  I bought them all when Hobby Lobby stocked them and still had their 50% off sales.

Thanks Tom.  I like to do an airliner/transport once in a while but I like interesting liveries. I've done about a dozen or so and have 1/2 that in the stash.  With that monster done, I've been leaning towards smaller turboprop regional/commuters.  Though I do still have a 1/144 Zvezda 737-8 in the stash and it's a bit bigger than the A380 Indifferent

Thanks,

John

Start with 1/200 scale.  Hasegawa makes some really nice ones like the ANA 737s

Or start with 1/144 scale ... and to up the pain level, get a vintage Airfix kit! Kidding ... sort of Big Smile

Great job on your Airbus 380-800 Keavdog. Even at 1/144 scale it's large. The 737 looks so small compared to the 380-800.  A stand really adds to the finished aircraft model.  Did you mask the window's or use a decal? I remember building Zvezda 1/144 Boeing 747-8, I hand cut out 244 windows using a metal template, that made my lower back hurt.
