Thing I remember about the L101 is the time I was walking through my office building, and a window there overlooked the departure end of the active at STL.  This was very soon after they started service there.  Holding short was an 1011 with three 727s right behind it.  I had to laugh!  It looked so much like a mother duck with three ducklings behind it!

The Modelcraft kit is supposed to be the same as the Revell, neither too good but better than Airfix.  At $100 you would certainly be better off with the Welsh kit.

A seller on Ebay has the Revell Delta Airlines version, brand new in sealed box, for about 100 bones.

The Revell kit is pricey but Eastern Express makes one that looks to be 1/2 the price.

Thanks,

John

I think I still have the instructions from the one I built way back in the 70's or so.  Loved the old Revell and Aurora liners!

  Hi;

     I was wondering, while I was writing about the Honda Civil Aircraft if anyone's seen the old Revell L-1011? That was a neat plane and with the skills I have had to develop for my Clients I would like to have another go at her.

     I wonder what kind of pricetag I could expect? I'm almost afraid to find out! Especially for a pristine in the box copy. By adjusting the interior parts I could make her better, I am sure
